New Britney Spears Song Clips

Following the release of Britney's "Hold It Against Me" Music Video (Which I love!) Britney's team has been attempting to promote her upcoming album, Femme Fatale, by releasing 15 second clips of some of her songs. Personally it gives me mixed feelings. I feel kind of guilty for wanting to hear the songs so early, but at the same time, I am angry because I want to hear the whole freaking song!

The first of the two released clips is for "Inside Out", which sounds to be a sort of R&B slower song. I thoroughly enjoy that it is something different from what she has released before and that she is trying to experiment with something out of her norm. The first few notes in the snippet seem very synthesized so I guess when the songs is officially released that we will know if it fits the song or gets edited out. There is also a longer video with an instrumental version of the song from a type of DJ battle thing that her manager posted on his twitter to keep people on their toes about her new music. kudos!

The second, and my favorite of the two, is "I Wanna Go". From the second i heard it begin, I knew that this was going to be something I didn't want to stop hearing. I have actually listened to the clip... let's just say I know the clip very well. I think this song may be the rumoured second single to be released right before the album release. I hope that it is! I'm addicted!

I hope to hear more clips in the future and hope they decide to release the tracklisting soon! I hate waiting!

Peace!

I'm Ready For... Adele's "21"

I haven't had much experience with Adele's music before this recent album. I had seen her perform her award-winning song "Chasing Pavements" at the Grammy's in 2009 and wasn't insanely impressed with the song but I found something about her adorable. I then was impressed immensely when I watched the 2009 Divas Live concert which included other amazing artists such as Kelly Clarkson and Leona Lewis.  She sang an amazing song with India Arie. She was dancing around and having a great time and also sounded amazing!
But, after that, she faded from my vision until recently I stumbled upon a remix of her most recent single "Rolling In The Deep", which is jam-packed with talent and a great soul-vibe. I began to do a little more research into her career and found other songs that I enjoyed as well. Then, a few days ago she performed another new song from her sophomore album 21, "Someone Like You". I was in shock while she was singing it, because not only was it an incredible song, it was flawless live. I have even heard the studio version and prefer the live version to it. I found a place online to stream her album and was able to listen clips of the album and there are a few songs that caught my attention.

"Someone Like You" - She teared up when she was performing this song at the Brit Music Awards, and she did amazingly well. This song is so beautiful and a great ballad that has already managed to reach #1 in the UK.

"Set Fire To The Rain" - As of now is my complete favorite on the album. I am so moved by this song. The images that you get from it, and the voice is just impeccable. It was produced by Fraiser T. Smith who works with well-known artists such as Beyonce, Taio Cruz, and Craig David. I cannot take this song off of repeat. Even the cracking her voice does in the song adds to the intensity of the emotion and the authentic feelings that she gives to the song which she says is about meeting someone when she was just out of a relationship and falling for them to find out they were a terrible person. Great Great Song!

"Don't You Remember" - Another amazing ballad from Adele, that showcases yet another aspect of her amazing voice. The trills that she does at the end of the word remember in the chorus are fantastic. It showcases a more r&b quality in her voice and shows that she is also able to diversify from her normal catchy soul infused songs.

I'm sure there are many other incredible songs on this album and I have no doubt that I will be rushing to Target tomorrow to get a deluxe edition version of this album! Until then I am impatiently waiting...waiting...waiting.

Sincerely,
Your newly Adele-Obsessed Music Lover.

53rd Grammy Awards

The Grammy's have been hyped for quite a few weeks with the announcement that the likes of Katy Perry, Rihanna, and Eminem set to perform. Then with the recently released Lady Gaga single, "Born This Way", having premiered two days before the show aired, the show had propelled to a must-watch television spectacle. As the red carpet commenced it was seen that this year was going to be a pretty great year for the Grammy's. Seeing stars like Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus parading down the carpet with their awe-struck faces shows the illustrious affects that the show has, even on the stars attending. Yet again, Lady Gaga, outdid herself appearing on the show inside of an egg which was couriered by a latex strewn team of men and a supermodel.

Britney Spears' "Hold It Against Me" Countdown!

Over the past week or so, Britney Spears' team has been releasing teaser clips for her latest music video for "Hold It Against Me". It is one of the few times that Britney has been able to stay on top of Promo recently and getting hype up for the stuff she is doing. The clips vary in excitement level and clips 4 and 8 are my absolute favorite. I get crazy chills on clip 4! Lady Gada - Born This Way

Most "Pop Music Enthusiasts" or "Little Monsters" (If that's what you are into) have known about and been anticipating the release of Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" since she first belted a few lines at last years VMA's. It seems like it has been such a long time since the night the meat-dress made it's debut into our lives and that moment when Gaga asked Cher to hold her meat-purse will be forever infused in my mind. That being said, the single was scheduled to be released this coming sunday, Feb. 13th, but due to heavy anticipation (I assume) the single was released two days early. I hadn't intended on staying up until 3am to listen to the single, because I had read the lyrics and wasn't completely impressed with the song, but I was with a friend and decided "Why the heck not?!" so we did, and listened to the 15 minute monster-sound-gaga-clip mash-up until the song began to play. I was bubbling with excitement and nerves with anticipation of the new single because the buildup had been so epic. The song played and I was enjoying it but I knew something wasn't correct. I knew the tune that was playing. Why did I know the tune? Then, it hit me. I went to iTunes and listened to GLEE's version of Madonna's "Express Yourself" and realized it was almost identical in the chorus. To be honest, it doesn't bother me that much anymore, because there are differences and the production and song and it's entirety is amazing, and I still thoroughly enjoy the song. But Gaga might make sure that comparisons to other famous songs by significant pop stars are next time considered before releasing original material.

All that aside. I purchased the song and will continue to be a Gaga fan, and although not a Little Monster, I enjoy her new sound and am anticipating the release of her new album!
